Światło postawić pod łóżkiem

     Jakże często się zdarza, że światło wsadzamy do kąta, żeby nikt go nie widział. Z zazdrości, że ktoś od nas mądrzejszy, roztropniejszy, pracowitszy, świętszy. Chcemy go zniszczyć, usunąć. I samemu postawić się na cokole.
     A czasem bywa, że to my prawdziwie zajaśniejemy. Nie brońmy się, kiedy nas ludzie zechcą umieścić na świeczniku. Choćby tylko na jedną chwilę – kiedy możemy mieć swoje pięć minut.
     Ale też nie zdziwmy się, jeżeli nas ktoś wsadzi pod stół.

     It happens so often that we shove the light into a corner so that nobody could see it.  It’s done out of envy that someone else is smarter, more sensible, diligent and more holy.  We want to destroy, to eliminate him or her.  And place ourselves on the pedestal.
     And sometimes it happens that we are the ones who truly shine.  Let’s not fight it if people want to put us on the pedestal.  Even if it’s just for a while – so we can have our five minutes of glory.
     But let’s not be surprised if someone shoves us under the table.
