NIEDZIELA ZWYKŁA

Głosił im naukę

     Nie ludzie są dla Kościoła – ale Kościół dla ludzi.
     Celem Kościoła nie jest chwała Boża, ale człowiek, który oddaje Bogu chwałę życiem swoim umotywowanym przez Kościół.
     Tak jest ze wszystkimi instytucjami kościelnymi. Tak jest z niedzielą i Mszą świętą niedzielną, z Adwentem i Bożym Narodzeniem, z Wielkim Postem i Wielkanocą. Nie żeby były, ale żeby nam pomagały być ludźmi.
     Bo my nie jesteśmy na usługach Kościoła, ale Kościół jest na usługach naszych.
     Tylko jeszcze powinniśmy czuć potrzebę Mszy świętej niedzielnej, jak i roku liturgicznego – potrzebę tego czasu świętego, który nas prowadzi do Boga.

Sunday of Ordinary Time

     People are not made for Church — but rather Church is made for people.
     It is not God’s glory that is an objective of the Church, but a person who gives glory to God with his or her life motivated by the Church.
     This is true in regards to all of church institutions.  The same is true when it comes to Sunday and Sunday Mass, Advent and Christmas, Lent and Easter.  They are not there just to be there, but to help us be human.
     For we are not at the service of the Church; it is Church that is at our service.
     We just should feel the need for Holy Sunday Mass, and need for the liturgical year – the need for this holy time that leads us to God.
