4. NIEDZIELA WIELKANOCNA

„Ja i Ojciec jedno jesteśmy”

     Kim jest Jezus? Co to znaczy, że jest naszym Mesjaszem? Co to znaczy, że jest Synem Bożym? Co to znaczy, że jest Słowem Ojca? Przecież słowem Bożym, wyrazem Boga jest wszystko stworzenie – tak jak utwór muzyczny wyraża kompozytora, a obraz malarza. Na tej zasadzie każdy człowiek jest słowem Bożym, jest synem Ojca – na ile potrafi być mądry i kochający. I tutaj tkwi tajemnica Jezusa. On jest doskonałym wyrazem Boga. Jedynym Człowiekiem, o którym możemy powiedzieć, że jest Słowem Bożym w pełnym znaczeniu. A w ten sposób jest Synem Boga w dosłownym sensie.
     Nas nie stać na to, by w pełni wyrazić Boga, bo grzeszni jesteśmy. I dlatego, choć Jezus jest naszym Bratem, to równocześnie jest naszym Mesjaszem i Mistrzem.

”The Father and I are One”

     Who is Jesus?  What does it mean that he is our Messiah?  What does it mean that He is God’s Son?  What does it mean that he is God’s Word?  Now, all of the creation is God’s word and God’s expression – just as a musical composition represents a composer and a painting represents a painter.  In the same manner every person is a word of God, and a son of the Father – in so far as he or she can be wise and loving.  And this is the gist of Jesus’ mystery.  He is the perfect expression of God, the only human, whom we could call the Word of God in the full meaning of these words.  And in this way he is literally God’s Son.
     We are not able to fully express God, because we are sinful.  And that’s why, even though Jesus is our Brother, at the same time He is our Messiah and Master.
