Tylko tak można spotkać Boga –
ze złotem, kadzidłem i mirrą.
Ze złotem miłości aż do
całkowitego oddania się, aż do
poświęcenia.
Z kadzidłem zachwytu aż do
oszołomienia.
Z mirrą cierpienia,
smutku, poczucia krzywdy.

Tylko tak można spotkać Boga.
Tylko tak można spotkać siebie.
Siebie jako małego człowieka wobec
ogromu Rzeczywistości Bożej, do której
idziemy przez miłość,
zachwyt,
cierpienie.

This is the only way to meet God-
with gold, incense and myrrh.
With the gold of love until
complete devotion, until
sacrifice.
With the incense of admiration
until bewilderment.
With the myrrh of suffering,
sadness, feeling of harm.
This is the only way to meet God.
This is the only way to meet yourself.
To see yourself a small man in the face of
the magnitude of God′s Reality  to which we
are going through our love,
admiration,
suffering.
