Życie oddaję za owce

     Minęło prawie tysiąc lat od śmierci biskupa Stanisława. A jakoś można go porównać z innym męczennikiem polskim, księdzem Popiełuszką. Model jest podobny – żeby nie powiedzieć: ten sam. Upomniał się jeden i drugi o godność człowieka. Naraził się władzom. I zginął – jeden i drugi. Bo chcieli obaj, aby człowiek był wolny.
     A tak naprawdę, każdemu świętemu o to chodzi.

     Almost a thousand years have passed since bishop Stanisław’s death.  And somehow one can compare him to another Polish martyr – father Popiełuszko. The situation was similar – if not identical.  Both of them spoke up for human dignity, both got into trouble with the authorities.  And they were killed – both of them.  For both of them wanted people to be free. 
     And in truth every saint wants just that.
