Jego Matka

    
     Bezinteresowność. To warunek miłości. Nie oczekując na to, że zapłacą nam, zrewanżują się nam, pochwalą nas, będą o nas opowiadali.
     Gdyby szukać ludzi, którzy są najmniej narażeni na interesowność, to są nimi matki. Ile godzin, ile dni, ile nocy, ile tygodni, ile miesięcy, ile lat poświęcają dziecku – z miłości. Matce najłatwiej kochać. Najłatwiej matce być bezinteresowną. Najwięcej szlachetności jest w tym zawodzie, który się nazywa: matka.
     I choć matka nie oczekuje na wdzięczność naszą, niemniej, gdy jej okażemy wdzięczność, uraduje się tym aktem jak największym darem od swojego dziecka.

His Mother

     Disinterestedness.  It is a condition of love.  Without expecting that they will pay you back, reciprocate; praise you, or will be talking about you.
     If one looked for people who are at the least risk of being selfish, than these are mothers.  How many hours, how many days, how many weeks, how many months, how many years they sacrifice for a child – out of love.  It is easiest for a mother to love.  It is easiest for a mother to be disinterested.  There’s the most nobility in that job called motherhood. 
     And even though a mother does not expect your gratitude, nevertheless, if you show your gratitude, she will rejoice over this act as over the most precious gift from her child.
